- sealed systems do not experience airlocks and the absence of air shrinks the likelihood of inner corrosion

It is usual for the water supply pressure to vary and that this is dealt with by integrating a pressure vessel. A escape valve will open if the pressure is higher than recommended. Similarly cold water is allowed into the system if the pressure is lower than the recommended level.
